Bought our Autocruise Starspirit in April and have been watching the forums but have now joined Motorhome fun as it lookedthe best.

Our names are Jim and Tracey and we live in Tring, Hertfordshire. We have done 5 weeks going round the coast of Scotland in the summer which we loved, mostly wild camping. Coming up to Glasgow where my family are from at Xmas and planning on going to one of the ski slopes. Our van is partially winterised in that it has outside tanks but heaters in the tanks running of the leisure battery. Not sure whether to just use bottled water and keep tanks empty or use the tanks which I guess will depend if we have EHU or not. Got snow chains, shovel and enough food in case we get stuck. Whatever happens, it is a step up from a tent.

Hi and welcome, when you say your planning on visiting one of the ski slopes Glen coe has motorhome pitches with EHU i think they cost £10 and can be booked in advance or you can stay in the car park for free. If you go to Glenshee they have EHU also but cant be booked in advance as it operates on a first come basis and cost £5 a night, again you can stay in the carpark for free both the slopes opened this weekend so should be good for xmas time as we are planning on going between xmas and new year.
