Looking for new friends for me and my RV! New to the motorhome world and ready to rock and roll... in UK and beyond. Any tips or advice on going abroad with pets? How does it work re-entering UK? :Eeek:

    Welcome to the forum
We are in the process of getting a passport for our Jack Russell and all has been straight forward so far. I would urge you to get quotes for the vets from a few sources. We found that the price varied a lot

This link might give you the info you need

And you've made the same mistake we made - called ours Harvey - HarVEE - RV and then got corrected. RV is reserved for the huge American contraptions size of a football stadium and doing 8mpg.

You, like us, own a Coachbuilt/Coachbild. A custom body on a standard cab chassis.

We still call it Harvey though.

From what I can gather, pets are dead easy. You pull out your life's savings and hand it to this nice vet in cash and he says "pass friend, come again". Then he phones his mate on the other side of the channel and says "another mug on the way".

But anyway, just do it, the EU is just made for MHs.

Thank you thank you thank you

Thank you for all the replies... links dutifully bookmarked. Remarks taken on-board. It's so exciting to be in this Seebee (coach built, Brian?) community and hope to see you guys on the road one day in my reck-create-avee-a-cuLL

In case any pet persons pop up... I was wanting to double check how long before u can return, I was under the impression it was two weeks from date of jab or worming but someone said 24 hours, which would be great... but maybe we won't wanna come back to UK? Ever!!

It's too darn cold in UK just now yeah!?

If you look on the home page LHS Our Community Calendar.

Go to March. Click Newark. Not too far, cheap, meet us. Phone and mention MotorhomeFun to get the discount price.

Don't be put off if they say "Not another one of those nutters".

Should have warmed up a bit by March.
