Hello all! Having visited the forum for months and enjoyed reading the posts, particularly Mousy's blogs and Jackie P's solo voyage, I decided to take the plunge and enjoy the fun. We started motor homing in 2009 and are very happy with our third van, a Hobby van 500. Our next trip is to Haycraft cc site in Dorset. Has anyone got an recommendations for pubs, activities etc?

Thanks for the welcome!Mel we were in Ypres Belgium this summer and enjoyed the beer ,chocolate and frites!always an interesting and emotive place to visit.

You're about ten minutes walk from the steam train station - one way to Corfe and its castle, the other to Swanage. You can buy your train tickets at Haycrafts CC reception and get a 10% discount.

Road is a bit narrow and hilly near the campsite. We only had two days there so didn't do any extensive exploring. Hopefully someone will be able to give you more info.
