... from a 10 day tour of the Netherlands. We had a great time, cycling every day and enjoying the great facilities at Dutch sites. Returned Hook of Holland to Harwich courtesy of Tesco points and spent a few more days in Norfolk and Rutland before wending our way reluctantly home.
The slightly ironic end to our holiday was turning up at a "camping and caravan site" near Glasgow in order to visit elderly parents before coming home only to discover that this "site" was in fact a storage yard where we were instructed to 'just park anywhere'. We were surrounded by decrepit old caravans and various bits of old farming machinery.
It was a weird place where we had to trudge through deep undergrowth to find a tap. Incredible contrast to the immaculate sites in Holland! LOL
