    I wish we had found a similar attitude in East Dorset when we visited last week.

    Most car parks had signs prohibiting the parking of motorhomes. Even those that allowed it had spaces too small for anything other than a PVC.

    In Sidmouth we asked a traffic enforcement officer why we were banned from car parks. He replied that he wasn't aware that we were!

    However, he did give us directions to where we could park on street, as summer parking time limitations had not yet come into effect. Thank goodness for a public employee with a bit of humanity.
