Just bought me a new toad (1 Viewer)

Yup, decided I wanted the choice of a big bike or a toad.. Toad will be doing the grand tour in August and September, and a bike when we go back to Spain next January..

So what have I bought ? A Secma !!! One of the older, smaller Qpod types ..
Off to collect it from a MHomer in darkest Sussex on Wednesday

Chaps name is Matt and the poor lad has been visiting a.n.other MHF site oh:

Put him right and hopefully he will be along to join in the fun soon !

Yup, been looking after one for a while now ( though virtually nothing has ever gone phut on it :thumb: )

I am having trouble finding insurance though ...

I mean, I have a couple of Honda Blackbirds, a 1200 GS, and a Yam enduro spec WR250.. Fully comp all three set me back a total of £133.00

Now this thing.. 300cc, 48 MPH flat chat on a good day, unlikely to do more than about 3 oo miles a year,,,, they best quote so far is £350 and a few p !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just how bloody nuts is that

Insured mine with Adrian Flux, cant remember how much but they specialise in unusual motors I believe

Foned in the morning and what I can best describe as an uninterested wanna be hoodie wearier with pretensions of being a gangster rapper ( this was the impression given ) gave me a really stupid quote..
Found Des and Donna use them and at a good price,.. Phoned back this afternoon.. Spoke to a really pleasant and helpful young lady gave me a quote of £90.00

Sold !!!

Got to ring them tomorrow with the reference number and the reg number
She even gave me a geographical fone number so I did not have to use that ruddy 0845 number ..

Soooo.. Might just plot up at Newark with the toy on the back !

Update on the Pod

Had a deal with Des ( of Des 'n Donut ) and for a small sum did a swap..

des now owns 'Poddy' as Maureen calls ( called ) it, and we now own 'Tango' ( for obvious reasons )

It is fun !! Currently on SORN, but will be taking it at for May.

Des and Donna are off to S of France for three weeks on Friday so I shall continue to use 'Poddy' as that is taxed etc.. then when they come home I shall give Poddy to Des, tax Tango and away we go !
