There's a very interesting thread on 3m's out and about live about the x250 transmission problem. Nick of Euroserve has replied to the problem and is very interesting in particular the modifications that have been carried out to existing gearboxes that have suffered with the judder. No doubt there are many owners that have had their boxes fettled thinking that all is now ok but is it? I for one have never been happy about stripping gearboxes down to replace odd components, full recon yes. Only time will tell how long it will be before problems rear their head. Motor homes although fully freighted up never do the same mileage of a commercially used van so should stay the course.

I have got 25k miles on my modified box so far and no problems. Wonder how others are getting on and how more recent boxes are?

Reading Andy Stotharts threads at the height of the problem was enough to put anyone off a 2.3 x250 for ever.
