Hi everyone, we are new to the world of motorhome. We did have a caravan & a couple of VW's in the Eighties, and early Nineties. Great times, ideal for the kids. Now it is just the two of us, and six graddkids.
We only found the vehicle yesterday, and pick it up tomorrow. I started off just wanting a cheap little van. Somehow ended up looking at Yank RV's, set my heart on one. They are great looking, a home from home. I was all set to buy a 36 Ft rear engined RV, Then I started thinking about the 8 MPG, and where do I park it, and ferry costs. We visited an RV dealer near Heathrow. The owner showed us around, maybe 12 to 14 vehicles and was very helpful. After 35 years of lorry driving, diesel was the only way to go. He went through the advantages of petrol, LPG, large & small RV's, then 5th wheels, So we left going from knowing what I wanted, to not having a clue. So we ended up buying a 5th wheel. It is a Narvara, pulling a Extreamlite. I will let you know how we get on with it.
