I wonder if anyone uses this. found on another site it is a free mapping program that can export a route created using google earth or whatever as an itinerary file direct to your tom tom or Garmin. I had a little play and it seems good click and select waypoints save a lot of data entry, see what you think after all it costs nowt.

Looks interesting Roger.

I've downloaded it and now it tells me I have to use I.E latest version so I'll probably junk it at this point, but thanks anyway.......Griff,...:thumb:

Has great potential this software. The saved 'tours' are for bikers so it would worry me to drive down some of the roads suggested. However if for example, the 'Italian Job' was saved here I would have used it.

TYRE has been around a few years now. We used it widely in the motorcycling community to share itineraries between TomTom and Garmin users.

Not seen this prog before, but it looks interesting.

Been a while since I used tyre
Thought it was an excellent prog till I tried using it:RollEyes:
soon discovered that if you were diverted, or went off the itinerary route it was not able to re route its self to get you back on track, and insisted on re routing back to what you had missed even though that might be miles behind you
Have they fixed that in tyre yet, does this new kid do it too:Doh:

no idea Geo maybe someone who has used it in anger can comment. I potentially looks good, but not re routing would be a right royal pain. Err just had a thought not down to Tyre but your satnav surely.

I do the same thing using TomTom's own route/itinerary planner.

no problem John but much quicker and easier to just click on a map rather than entering a zillion waypoints one by one on a miniscule keyboard.
