Hi thinking of heading towards Italy during july and august. can anyone give me any advice on campsites, good ones,cost etc and motorhome aires ...do they have similar aires to france??how do the cost of things compare to france etc...done lots of touring around france but not italy!!!!

I would avoid Italy in August if I was you. Think of the Cote D'Azure in August and multiply by 2! Basically, everybody and their dog are using the campsites etc. and there is often no places.
Visit in July (early rather than later) and Italy is wonderful. In late July it tends to fill up with Germans.

Click Search + at the top. A box opens. Type in garda. Press [enter] or click GO. I delivers over 10 pages of threads with garda in them.

Though BobT is correct, it will be crowded and expensive. We've done it many times in May/June and September, it can still be busy but cheaper.

It's well worth the effort.

italy in august is ok as long as you can get air con in a body suit most italians flee italy in august only mad dogs and englishmen left there
