It was an exchange fault (1 Viewer)

With out going down the road of PC again.. the BT engineer has just been and says the fault was at the exchange ... but he could not work out how the computer had called 999... a new one on him.

But it was a fault at the exchange and no charge.. just lost the line for 5 days and had to make sure I was about this morning.
