I'm about to buy a campervan!
Hello all,

I should have said 'hello' in the introduction section but I do have rather an urgent question which involves giving someone most of my savings!!

I have just been to see a Romahome 2002 HYLO, C15 1.9 diesel.

He is willing to sell for £6450. The van is is good condition, everything works apart from the fridge on gas. Theres no rust and it looks really clean and tidy everywhere! 12 months MOT etc etc.

Is this a good price? I have no idea! Apart from the fact that elsewhere on the internet they seem to be more expensive for a 2002 model.

Thanks all.

your best bet is to check out the sold listings on ebay to get an idea of price, it is 13 years old and they are prone to rust so do check for repairs and respray. The Hylo does seriously lack storage space. It does not have a shower or as far as I know a loo.

Spend an extra few quid on an HPI check.
It should show any insurance/right-off history and if it has any outstanding finance.
Insurance history could make it difficult to insure and outstanding finance means it belongs to a finance house and could be reclaimed with no recompense.

Could be a rust bucket - especially around the screen; I speak from bitter experience! Check very carefully - and then look for a Nu Venture which are a far better small MH.
