    Hi all....
I'm thinking about buying a motorhome and I'm going to head of with my Mrs and another couple, I live in the UK and have a full UK driving licence, now my mate has a full Irish driving licence and does anyone know of an Insurance broker or company that will insure me and my mate.
    Thanks!

that might cause problems as its a foreign licence so he's a foreign driver.

The only thing you can do is ring insurers and ask. Presumably you'd want him as a named driver? which might not be as bad as trying to get the actual cover in his name - but don't be surprised if it is ....

There should be no problem unless they have "Closed the door".
In the early days of the breathalyzer there were several Redneck truck drivers who had what were known as "Free State" licences as well as UK licenses.
These were used if and when there was a problem with there UK license or vice versa. Before anyone thinks am condoning this practice AM NOT.
