The inverter will probably be fine. Mine is Chinese and has been working fine for years, it was so cheap I have a spare one in case it does fail.

It's very bad that they provide a cigar lighter lead with a 1.5kW inverter. Most sockets of that type will only supply 10A maximum, while the inverter could draw 150A:whatthe:

Mine is wired to sockets only, as the fridge will flatten batteries as it's on 24/7, and of course running the charger is a somewhat futile exercise.

Almost all inverters on the market are made in China, including the one I bought from Germany. And I too have bought stuff from China (or at least HK) on Ebay. It is the zero feedback that worries me.

And, on looking a bit more at what he is offering in the photo I am even more concerned. As reallyretired has pointed out the cigar lighter lead is useless for the rated supply. And the lead with the crocodile clips seems much too thin as well. My 2000W (4000W peak) inverter came with a quadrupal wired lead, and each of the wires was at least twice as thick as the one shown in the photo I estimate.

Anyway I hope I am wrong and it arrives and works well. Keep us posted one way or another.
