I have just installed an inverter and second leisure battery. Any ideas on what I can run and the duration of the battery.

It may help people to answer your question in you can confirm.
How big are the batteries (AH)?
What type of batteries are they?
How big is the inverter (watts or Kw)
What appliances will you be connecting, what is their consumption in watts and how long will you be using them

I could ask why did you bother doing it if you didn't know that it was going to do what you wanted it to do, it's a lot of time and money on a wing and a prayer.
