I need to charge some accessories off grid (12v) and have a cheap 600 inverter. Will it be using more from battery than say a 200/300 inverter? I intend to charge mostly from VB when driving also from LB"s (2x 110a).

Loads of questions and doubts....

From VB or LB ? Sort of implies plug in, there is no way a 600W inverter would work from cigarette sockets, 600W is 50A.

Cheap inverter and low powered chargers can be iffy. Maybe fine or they may die.

Certainly a quality 200W pure sine wave, just about OK plugged in, would be the safe way.

To answer your question NO there is no reason why a 600w inverter would use more than a 200/300w one if its running the same equipment, other than the power that it takes to run it which is not much.

An inverter is power hungry no matter how small compared to direct 12v charging of 12v devices or via a USB charger.
To change 12v to 230v then drop it back to 12v via the devices mains charger is simply wasting battery power.

Buy 12v plug in chargers.
