Mine came from our grandchildren, I have a big beard and they say it tickles, at the time you were resticted on how many charicters you could have in a screen name so I became Tklybeard but shortend it when I joined to Tkly ::bigsmile:

it is a nickname I have had for many years and came about in three ways,
1) the fact that I always wildcamp, only stay on sites at shows.
2)My appearance has been likened to the wildman of Borneo since my 20's
3)whilst attending Collage I was the student rep, renowned for standing my ground and wildly demanding our rights.
so there you have it. An unkempt vagrant always shouting the odds.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sorry Jim you can't do that until you have lived here at least 40 years.

Me and my shift partner at FDRC were called Oliver and Hardy, and it got shortened to olley.

First Forum I ever joined ont 'tinterweb was for owners/riders of Supermoto bikes, unsurprisingly I owned a Husaberg 650 and came up with the outrageously cunning MotoBerg....it's just stuck ever since, AKA lazyness

My daughter calls me silverfox because of the band of silver hair on my head, and whenever I try to use it as a username it is always taken, so i stick my initials on the front now - db for David Baker. hence DBSilverfox

Think mine is obvious, although Pablo (real name is Paul) came from a trip to Spain a few years back and has stuck ever since. Mc is the first two letters of my surname. Sometimes shortened to Pabs.

Good job I did use my other user name flylikeahandbag as that takes a bit more explaining. :roflmto:

In an earlier life I was a schoolmaster and the timetable had the staff initials on it, not their full names. The boys all referred to the staff by their initials. (and other names when out of earshot...)

One weekend there was a crisis and a boy was sent to the pub find me as I was needed back "at the ranch."

He asked the landlord "Is JJ here?"

The landlord didn't know who he was talking about but as I asked what was the problem the regulars all realised it was me and they called me "JJ" ever since. It even became my Equity name in the next life I had...

JJ... (Justin Jay...:ROFLMAO:)

I'm afraid mine is really simple - just like me - and the explanation is on the left for all to see.

When i was a little girl i start learning to read with a book which hero was called Yodeli. He looked a bit like an elf, all dressed in red with a funny hat on. He used to sing and play pipe and was always happy and jumping in the forest. Never forgot him, and since the first time i went on a chat used that name.

I found a pic of him on the net with his girl friend Sylvie

My old Yorkie was given the nickname 'Ninja' for no reason in particular. My 3 Yorkies then became known as the Ninja Yorkies so that's where mine comes from. I decided to hit the road to spend more time with the pooches in their later years and to escape the rat race so it's a homage to them.
