I am in Anglesey, using my Dad's broadband, he 'has' a 5 Meg connection which has been great in the past. This week its running like a dog, re-booted the rooter etc, no difference, logged onto another two BT router (wifi and FON), same thing, slow. at best 256k, I have 45meg at home...

I did see that BT were having some issues with cable theft, but surely they can be affected that much?

    Thoughts?

Ping ranges from 57ms to 670ms..

There has to be a reason why the speed is so poor..

can't imagine its connected but someone in Oldham has cut the fibre optice cable locally causing damaged estimated at £ 500,000 and effected the BT connection some some 2.5 million households and businesses. Just a thought.
