Most of you who know me will know we are not great fans of campsites but we want to go to the general area of Interlaken in July as part of our summer trip. It seems the Swiss are not too tolerent of wilding and there doesnt appear to be any Aires around the area so the question is can anyone recommend a campsite thats suitable for us?

We dont want anything all singing and dancing. It doesnt even have to be in Interlaken as we have the scooter. The few I have checked in Interlaken seem expensive but I cant work out the prices properly anyway.

Small and Quiet and as basic as possible suits us. I never use campsite facilities so a field would do.

    Any ideas?

All I know is there are two railway stations, one East, one West.
The description of 'Nearby Station East, is all that the guide says. There are no GPS co-ordinates listed.

There are a few campsites surrounding the town too, so you should be OK if you can't find any overnight parking Barry.

We are off that way in June, so will be getting our Camper Stop Europe 2011 in time for that.

    Hi Barry!

We have our 2011 copy of Camperstop Europe on its way through the post.

I will check to see what the latest info is on MH parking in the town when it arrives.............

Thanks for that, Will be interested to see what it says. Where do you get the camperstop guide by the way?

I think I will just turn up in Interlaken and just have a buzz around on the bike until we find something we like, be it car park, field or campsite.

    Cheers
    BD
