What do funsters do about travel insurance if they are away for three months or more and are over 70 as the most days away I have been quoted for is 60 days away

Try insure and go. I have just insured me and my wife annual cover, up to 90 days on one trip. £115.95. I did not think this was too bad.

Caravan Club Red Pennant do longer but don't half charge, cheaper if you take motor cover in the package. Pete

A lot of us who full time don't bother with travel insurance. We do 5 to 6 months a year in France and Spain. Have been doing this since 2009. Haven't needed it and the vehicle will be recovered if I cannot drive it under our insurance. No rush to get back to UK and no return booked. Return booked was a condition I noticed on the companies I looked at. EHIC for emergency hospital treatment.

We have found breakdown insurance very helpful.
