Hi there
Trying to insure a Mercedes Sprinter 616 Motorhome but as it is not standard on the Insurance Brokers lists most wont Insure. Comfort have quoted £650-700. Does anyone else have a contact for bespoke motorhomes that may be cheaper??

Forgot to say ask for a agreed value insurance that way if ever the worst happen s you will not have to jump through hoops to get a fair price for your van

Probably breaking all the rules here but try Kerrs Insurance brokers Randalstown NI.They just saved me £400 plus over the Caravan Club.Find there details with Google.I don't have them readily to hand

Could it be that a Mercedes Sprinter 616 Motor home doesn't exist on any ones list because its not in itself a motor home??

Has it not got a name or builders mark to it, Ie a Swift Kontiki based on a Merc 616 (Example) or is it a self build

After all you wouldn't get a quote either on the description "Fiat Ducato Motor Home"
as it could be a standard 30kworth or 100k NB Motorhome

Do you have a local insurance broker? My 70 plate CV20 IS £300 Without breakdown. They should know who quote from.

i don’t use LV for breakdown as my moho is brand new but im pretty sure they cover up to 8 mtrs and 5 ton. They use Brittania btw so check their T&C’s

If not try Lifesure as they cover anything for UK & EU for £99

Comfort include breakdown cover. There is a £5k limit. No size or weight restrictions, but some strange wording around this that you should read and interpret yourself. I’m comfortable, others may not be…

well i got covered with comfort insurance with 9 months in europe and breakdown i left comfort 3years ago cos they bunged my premium up for my cover this time was resonable 330 pretty good i thing and theres no weight limit on breakdown
