Well, my Rapido 995 is going to be delivered on Thursday and I've done the ring around and Comfort have come out top so far with Caravan Gaurd close 2nd and Safegaurd way out back....

This is with breakdown/Euro cover and my partner added.

Who else should I check or any thoughts on above....?

    Thanks Garry&Sue

I asked similar question to you.
Comfort and Caravanguard seemed to come out on top.
    Hope this helps.

After 15 years and no claims with Safeguard. I found that at renewal time they took my loyalty for granted and charged a much higher premium than if I were a new customer- bastards :mad:

Spent a morning on the Phone ringing around and eventually saved myself a few quid. got better cover than Safeguard offered including class 1 business use, less excess. And saved £220 over the Safeguard quote. Thank you Nigel at AIB.

Comfort were streets ahead of the competitors for me, and that is current because I pick up my new motorhome on the 1st April (after a 6 year break). Not that I am excited or anything!

We have Saga for everything, good cover & good price, but this does seem to vary a lot between Funsters - postcode maybe?

We are going to go with comfort again. Maybe cos we have to being the only one that offers full time insurance.
Good reports about them anyway. Breakdown for £48 added on.

Hmm... Comfort is looking best at the moment but reading through the policy windscreen is covered up to £3k would that be enough for a A class Rapido ..?

NFU gave us a good quote but they wanted no claims. We haven't got that because we already use the no claims on our cars. Might use them next year when we've got rid of one of the cars. So we've gone with Comfort too.

I always stick with safeguard as easy to deal with for claims/breakdowns when in Europe. very understanding and price always comes down when you say you have cheaper quote. they are also one of the few that cover insurance on VIN when importing LHD. That most important to me....

Ring a dealer for the base vehicle and ask how much the windscreens are?

After several hours checking out motorhome insurances and getting quotes did finally find one. I got a surprise quote from caravan guard and am now paying less to them then i did 2 years ago. My no claims bonus is protected, fully comprehensive, UK and European breakdown cover, insurance for all my gadgets and i can travel in Europe for up to 9 months for £365.73.
