I saw a post recently about a German company that is recommended for travelling in Europe.

We are intending to travel around the uk until October and then get the ferry to Amsterdam in October and then stay abroad for a few months.

Looked everywhere and can't find it.

In that case, which company is recommended for long term MH insurance when abroad.

I've just taken insurance through AIB who put cover with Aviva. It has long term Europen use included, haven't got the docs through yet but I think I recall it gave up to 8 months at a time. Have to say I didn't pay much attention to it as my longest Eurpean trip planned is 60 days.

I would recommend the Caravan Club's Red Pennant insurance, excellent cover, even repatriation if the worst happens.

ADAC breakdown covers seems great, I pay over £400 to RAC.
Does it cover things like at home in the UK etc.
Can't seem to locate much info on it
All seems to in German and don't understand, English translation I can't find

It is only breakdown not vehicle insurance,,BUSBY.

Yes it does cover all your cars in the UK as well, I had cause to use them for my car and they were excellent. I heard anecdotal tales that they were no,longer taking new applications from the UK but renewing existing policies. Don't know if that's true.

I've just visited the ADAC site and this statement stopped me in my tracks:
"Using the links below to acquire ADAC membership requires that your place of residence is in Germany"
