Q1
When my insurance comes up l am thinking of going back to Caravan Guard instead of staying at Motorhome Facts insurance. went to them as they did work cover but l have never used CB for accomodation at work so it is extra wasted money.

What is the opinion of caravan guard are they good. We were with them but had never had to use them in anger. If l remember the no claims counts it doesnt at MFI

Q2
When you insure do you do it at what you bought the vehicle for or what you think it may be worth now or what?

Not long enough!
Am with comfort, as full timing.
You need to check the cover and that it meets your requirements.
Will it cover windscreen if A class?
Will it repatriate you and van back to UK if abroad?
Is there a weight limit?
If partner is on policy, they will be expected to drive if required.
Is your annual milage correct? I doubled mine to 8000 miles and it added £150 to the premium.
Honesty is always the best policy and I cover for replacement value of same age and condition vehicle.

since 2005 (but 30 years caravanning)
Re q2 if its a new van you should insure it for the purchase price as some policies do a new replacement for 1 or 2 years. Otherwise the market value.

Don't know about caravan guard but comfort and safeguard are both good.
