Hi All,

Having a quick weekend away at the end of July and came across Normans Bay, looks nice however the reviews on TripAdviser aren't that great. Can anyone give me some recent feedback?

Many Thanks,

Jackie

We enjoyed Normans Bay two years ago...and would gladly return...

Fish and chip bus on the Friday/sat night were brilliant...

Nice place, clean but basic shower blocks and laundrette, the bus stop is a good walk away but the beaches even though they are shingle and accept dogs on the beach there its just across the road from the site, A train station is minutes away with a train regularly passing the back of the site, never bothered us but you can hear it.not too noisy though, a small shop selling lots of stuff which you probably forgot and papers and milk and those little necessities would visit again, we cycled into eastbourne mainly off road , nice little village Pevensey with a good few eateries, lots of grass pitches and lots of grass pitches, wardens very nice and accommodating, we mentioned we had yappy dogs behind us and they offered to move us which we took them up on.

We like this site, the train isn't a problem, nice for walking and sea fishing, can get windy.:thumb:

We like this site as well. Good for cycling and if you are into sea fishing its excellent. We have always found the wardens to be excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them.

One year it was the only site we could get on during the August Bank Holiday.

As for the train. I can sleep through anything :ROFLMAO:

I'm surprised some of the more senior funsters haven't commented on the hordes of unruly French types with shields, swords, bows, and arrows that have been known to frequent this place :roflmto:

cheap fuel just down the road

Not far away on the way in to Eastbourne there is a Tesco fuel station that does some of the cheapest fuel in the South East.
