Several years now
As I wanted to change-out the standard double din Ford radio for something better, I took the opportunity to fit a couple of digital voltmeters in the single din space left under the radio. The left voltmeter shows the leisure battery and the right voltmeter shows the engine battery. Although they only draw 3mA each I put in an on-off switch for completeness. The voltmeters are wired directly to the battery terminals, via a 100mA fuse. Total cost of the job was about £12. They are just pushed in for now as I might swap positions with the radio, hence cosmetically they are a bit lacking.

Not long enough, but a little common sense helps..........
Nice job, I'm looking at replacing the radio so now have an idea to fill the gap.
