Yes Eddie phoned the, before sending in forms to make sure all was correct and posted to Swansea, checked the bank last night and the payment wasn't out so didn't expect it in the post this morning. Just thinking where to go now

Took us 14 days in Nov last year. Longest bit was the VCA. DVLA were very quick. I gave them a call after 7 working days and they gave me the new Reg number over the phone. Docs arrived next day anyway.

So it seems like things are hopefully a bit quicker now than when @Lenny HB and @Judge Mental did their vans

Well, we now have a shiny new motor Fairly painless, apart from a long long wait at Campirama waiting to go to the port. The van was all ready, it was just the circumstances of the day....never mind.

Got through Dover without any hassle. VAT paid and forms sent off to VCA within 24 hours...so now we wait. Off to get an alarm fitted at Vanbitz next week.

So far, we have had a few snags... a slight problem with the step not retracting, which Peter sorted. We have discovered our loo doesnt flush, so need to sort that out but it doesnt stop us getting about thankfully.

PS Any tips on who to contact in high places in DVLA to push it through more quickly would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know anyone I high places I just called them before sending in my form to make sure I'd done it correctly and the guy said fill in what you can and we'll do the rest. I did this and added a letter mentioning my telephone conversation and got them back with in 10 days, off out in van today for our first over night.

I did the same with the same response too, and got mine back in 5 working days. With a private plate too. We sent it SD so we had tracking for receipt.

It isn't simply due to the fact that you have to remember to turn the water pump on otherwise the flush doesn't work?

Not sure ?? The shower is working so we assumed the water pump was on.....happy to be corrected.

I just thought the pump might be turned off as I sometimes forget that the pump needs to be on for the toilet flush ( new van syndrome).

Clearly if your shower is working then that isn't the case ....

I dont know if you have a cassette or a tank, I have only had tanks, but there is a mechanism for not allowing flushing if my tank is over 90% full. Maybe such a feature is reading wrong?

The loo has started working all by itself Just had the recall on the Fiat Ducato done by local Fiat Dealer. Very easy and no hassle....I only found out about it on this forum. Fantastic resource.
