I have just been playing with image uploading so that I can answer a few questions and noted the following.

An oversized image can be uploaded and it WILL be resized to the correct dimensions for the server.

However this will fail for images over 20 megapixels to prevent the server being pushed into out of memory issues.

The only pictures that will fail to upload are ones that when resized go over a maximum filesize limit.

I will talk to Jim about the optimum setting for this limit.

We have set the dimensions as big as we can to maintain image detail. However we did want to reduce the size somewhat to conserve storage space on the server.

Please can you tell me how to add images from iPad or iPhoto please - they are neither " filed" as on the PC or url. Have tried copy and paste but doesn't work. Thanks

I often wonder why some image files do not offer the option of full size? I have to make the post then open it then open the file then copy the file address then edit the post and had it as an image

Just select "upload a file" then browse your iPad photos and select the picture

Can't recreate that Andy, I always seem to have the full size option available, across iex, ff chrome & safari.
