Switch is in the on position, from memory I think it should light up.The trips are behind the plastic cover on the right and should be up.
Looks like your battery may be beyond recovery

if it's crashing your photos are too big!

Thank you for that.
I have been assuming that both batteries are ok, when in fact they might not be, which is possibly why i am confused by it all as i am expecting things to work.
I do not appear to see any status lights illuminated anywhere ?
More reading to do.

the system monitor lights can be difficult to see (well they were on ours) unless you are at the right angle,I had to be above ours.

It is all very confusing,
I have no power in the van at all ?
It is hooked up to the mains supply, which position should the RED rocker switch (EC325) be in. ?

Fuse blown in the main's plug so no wonder no illumination to the RED rocker switch on the main box.
Yes, "I" is ON and "O" is for off.
This may be a silly question but, when we are traveling in the Van (engine running) , can we use the fridge, microwave or 3 pin mains outlets ?????? to make a coffee or something ?

You do not seem to have an inverter so microwave and mains sockets won't work unless you are connected to the mains. The fridge will work on 12v with the engine running or on gas when stationary.
If your battery voltage is 0.1v as in your photo then your battery is very dead and cannot be recharged.

I'm a newbie
The best bet would be to Go to Halfords and ask the spares department for a packet of 30 Amps. Pour into the battery and hey presto, problem solved.
Welcome to the forum anyway

Dave, if you bought from a dealer I would return and ask them to sort the problems for you and also ask for a guided tour with instructions.
If you bought privately it is a different matter although you should have a set of manuals to help you understand the basics.
Daunting it may seem at present but most of us have been there and done that.
Enjoy it.
