Day 1: about 60 of us watched some DVDs in a proper court room, so we'd know what to expect.

What nobody mentioned in the DVDs, however, was that we'd be sitting in the jury room waiting and waiting, only to be told that for various reasons we wouldn't be needed that day, then go home and wait for a 'phone call to see if we had to go the next day. Still, on the days I've actually gone it's been better than working, so there's that.

I did it about 15 years ago, had to go everyday for a week, on the final day actually got to go into court and the fella pleaded guilty so that was that

Done jury service at Doncaster 2008 sat and listened to the case for days was the most enlightening thing seeing how the British legal system can waste huge amounts of money.
the b:swear2: was guilty after abut a hr after I seen him in the dock but it dragged on for two days
