hi could anybody help me i have an older hymer 694 and have just returned from a trip to france unfortunately we put a kayak on the roof, as we have for a few years now with no problems but it seems the other half managed to secure it just a few millimeters to far to the left and when the weather was hot i opened the heki light, it got stuck so i pushed it anyway, several times:Doh: im now in the dog house cause the nylon cog isnt working right and its all my fault, not the fault of the person who put the kayak on the roof:Eeek: so i need to find a new cog or winder to keep the peace but it seems these things are not easy to find in an older van, somebody help me please any advice please:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Hi there Sillybug,

As a Hymer owner, and a customer of Peter Hambilton's, I can tell you that he doesn't supply parts that he isn't fitting himself, however, if you were to email a photo of the part needed, he may well have a mechanism spare, that he replaced on a similar model of rooflight. enquiries@hambilton.com

Camper UK at North Hykekam, Lincoln, is where I get most of my Hymer spares from.
Ask for Alan Pickering the workshop manager (former Hymer trained) if you need to discuss the item needed, or for John, in the accessory shop to place the order. Again, an email identiiying the part, along with your build "serien" number (off the side plate) can produce good results. They are a pleasure to deal with, especially over the phone.

HTH,

Jock.
