A good machine shop should be able to rebuild it if you can't get one

The MOT is not a service and not a guarantee of road worthiness, it is a statement that at the time of the test it passed all the set points of examination. If the stub axle has snapped then change it ,if has worn to much to keep the bearing fast then a specialist engineers should be able to reface it.

I know this is the o/s one but it could be worth giving them a call to see if they have or can get hold of the one you want. The price reduction is great.

I don't think Alko produced chassis for motorhomes before the emergence of the X250 in 2006?

My 2004 x244 had an alko extension but not a full chassis and retained the original axle and suspension

    Andy,

Our 99 Hymer has an ALKO chassis with tandem axles, torsion bars, etc. The only FIAT parts are the cab and front running gear, and rear wheels and brake assemblies.

Apparently, the rear brake cables used to be available from FIAT agents, but are only available direct from ALKO now, but the brake assemblies are still available from FIAT.

    Cheers,

    Jock.
