Hymer S630 Bike Rack Hinge Repair (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anybody has had an old Hymer integrated bike rack repaired in the UK?

We have recently bought a 1997 S630 and the bike rack hinge has rusted off - a common problem apparently. We were pointed to a place in the Netherlands that seems to sell a replacement by the dealer we bought it off, however they don't seem to reply to e-mails or answer the phone.

Any other UK based solutions out there? If it costs much more than a couple of hundred quid, we might be just be better buying a fiamma or similar rack.....

Not yet - here is the link to the Netherlands repair place - looks like an extensive job as it needs to take quite a bit of weight and has completely rusted off.

Interesting.... When you said bracket I thought it would just be the 'bracket' but it looks like they change all the frame structure as well.

I have one of these on my s630 which is housing a storage box at the moment but plan to take this of and close it next weekend when away.

Hopefully it won't fall apart in my hands!!
