It’s only a couple out of how many thousands over here .
Yep, and when you take into account that Hymer produce more vans a year than the total of all the Brit manufacturers it puts the number of faults you hear about into perspective.

Had a few faults on ours, doesn't bother me Hymer are only a mid range van so I don't expect perfection and as long as it gets sorted it's not a problem.

Odd this, second member complaining about Hymer, then don't come back on for follow ups after numerous responses.
Made up slur to discredit our beloved Hymer, Fake news as Donald might say.

I talked to a technician in the dealer workshop when our older technology Hymer was having a warranty issue diagnosed (one Truma heater electric element had blown). This would have been three or four years ago. There was a Duomobil in the next bay being worked on and I asked him about it. He explained that Hymer were pioneering a canbus system on the Duomobil and it was causing (him) lots of problems. Every switch and appliance was connected to the bus which looped around the van. If a fault occurred on the bus then devices up stream of the fault would stop working. So if the step stopped working (to take an imagined example) then the fault might not be the step or the associated switch - it could be behind a light a sensor or anything connected to the bus. This required a different approach to problem solving which was trying the patience of dealer and customer alike. He recommended I avoid the Duomobil until these bugs had been fixed.

That's because it's not actually true, it is quite possible that the guy has a business (could be in Scotland) and he has registered the domain noble leisure.com he can then have email @that domain, when we had the business I had www.carbon-fibre.com as a domain and email going to that.

Has anyone else had problems with the Hymer Duomobil???? Mine has been a catalogue of problems since day one and the problems keep on coming. Every time I use the vehicle a new warranty issue arises. It is the worst purchase I have every made !!! I can honestly say I wished I had returned the vehicle straight away as unfit for purpose. It has less than 3000 miles on the clock and I really HATE IT !!!! Issues such as getting stuck on site because the steps jam, endless problems with the electrical 'brain' , needing a complete new set of wheels because the alloy breaks down, the sat nav jamming on and won't turn off, drains do not empty after warranty fix for stinking drains, front step continuing to open and shut despite door being shut, but to name just a few!!! I'm told that no one else has experienced this level of problems which actually doesn't make me feel better. Really had enough. Not the quality I was led to believe from Hymer. Anyone else's experience would be great to hear.

Thanks to those who have replied - whilst some replies are suggesting i may be trashing their favorite MH its not the case - I have not taken delivery of mine yet !
Although I have been a member of this group since I bought our first MH four years ago I have not posted anything until now . My concern relates to the dealerships's customer service and the lack of response I am receiving from Hymer - I have as of this week contacted the Hymer Group as opposed to theit customer services . The main issues - their UK dealer is blaming Hymer for not replying to their (the dealers) emails - in one email they claim a five week response time . I am receiving this kind of treatment as a buyer of their product - what chance would anyone have if a fault developed .?
I am trying to establish if I am alone in receiving this kind of treatment or as a result of Hymer being sold to the American's and their alleged lack of factory space this will become the norm - as a side issue I would have private messaged Sandra had I known how to do so, ( recently retired spending - our childrens inheritance and based in the UK ) .

Sounds like the dealer is just giving you the run around. Who is the dealer? Some are better than others. Our dealer can get info from Hymer within a few hours at most. If it is urgent they usually phone their contact in Germany for help.

On this forum private messages are called conversations. But I think only subscribing members can send and receive them. Sandra is not a subscriber so you can't enter a conversation with her. Even if you could I doubt very much you will get an answer. She is not an active member and has not been for over 2 years

Don't understand your delivery problem, we have had 3 new Hymer's all arrived a on the promised delivery date or early. We order Sept/Oct and they arrive Feb/March if you were to order RHD then if would be May.
Only thing I can think of is if you ordered a RHD they only build a couple of batches a year and the dealer didn't get his order in in time so having to wait for the next batch. But why didn't they tell you.
