Hi All I have a 1968 Hymer B543 based on a Fiat Ducato and need some help in getting new tyres. The size on the tyres is 185R14C. I have tried putting this size when using on line tyre suppliers and they say no size . Is there a compatable size I could use can anyone help me with this problem. Very many thanks in advance Dave

I think your find you have misread the tyre, there should be another number on the lines of 185/55R14C. etc

But I expect Brian Evans will be along soon to put you right

185R14C is a legitimate tyre size it's a light commercial tyre i.e. van or 4wd and is readily avaliable from most tyre suppliers.

185 x 14 C is a tyre that dates from 30-40 years ago ...they are not available any more in my neck of the woods
having said that I happened to know that hankook [ good quality tyre ] were making them not long ago , so you could try a hankook agent if all else fails

if after that you really can't get any of this size , if is probable that a more modern tyre is available in a size to do the job ; if you post

the axle weights
the rim dimensions [ if you look on the rim it will be marked as something like ....5 1/2 J 14 ]

I will work out if there is something available
