Anybody taken this route with a Motorhome would appreciate any feedback as we wish to miss out on Calais whilst making our way to Italy at the end of August.

I've been looking at this , although it will take a lot to get us off the tunnel, surely hull is a better run for us in the middle than that blasted m1 m25 and stack(y)

We've used it several times. It's really good but expensive. We always have dinner on the boat and enjoy it. It's a massive buffet. Not using it this year because we're taking the dogs but would definitely recommend it.

We have used it and agree with everything that Mags52 says. Its a really good service, especially if your going east towards Germany.

I booked it on Thursday for September £361 return

Lucky bugger, we booked for mid August and paid £500 with Caravan Club and only three nights camping cheques this time.

Who did you book through Andy.

I will add we usually pay around £300 to £325 and get 7 nights camping thrown in.

@Sweet Chariot the best deals for motorhomes or caravans are at the weekend when not so much freight travelling so travel Saturday or Sunday crossing, leaves about 6:30pm and arrives about 9:30am, meal on board relax in the bar shower/bed or bed/shower breakfast and then off you go driving, the exit from the Zeebrugge port is very straight forward.

My crossing is Sat 19th Sept return Sat 3rd Oct

Used it years ago, so much better than that drag down to Dover but expensive.

As I'm heading for cologne before doing the Mosel again the mileage saving covers the higher price
I paid £248 Dover Dunkirk early this year

The meal breakfast and outside cabin is CONSIDERABLY more expensive. So much so that we would not consider it unfortunately.

Only £10 to upgrade to 4 berth outside, but yes the food is expensive but after the evening buffet we can face breakfast.

I just tried that but it won't remove the £98 for the standard included room, it just adds £108 to the bill?

I've witnessed people coming drastically unstuck with bending the truth.

The cabin choices are Extras not upgrades. Like suppose you have a 6 berth van? A 2 berth inside is all that is included

Also booked HtoZ with P&O for September. £201 out, £164 back. Worth every penny. Hull is a couple of hours from home and Zeebrugge is only an hour from Dunkirk, unlike Dover which is seven hours from us, on a good day!

@Techno100 just tried your dates and the height does not make any difference but going 8.0 to 8.5 metres goes from £361 to £521.25.

Smaller motorhome ordered before next trip me thinks--------------------NOT.

We usually use the Hull Zeebrugge. We upgrade to club with television, tea coffee and soft drinks. It's like a mini cruise. Yes more expensive, but saves on fuel and the long drive south.

Used it loads I'd recommend upgrading to the commodore suite I think this what it's called, for the extra you get breakfast included free mini bar in room, TV in room and tea making facilities plus it's a proper double bed and sofa so in my opinion well worth it

Pity they done away with the Felixstowe to Zebrugge route, suited us for our Motorcycle tours in the past.

£575 return includes breakfast + outside cabin. leaving 29th August.
We nearly considered this but at nearly £200 more on our dates we didn't consider an outside cabin as it is a night crossing and not likely to be in it in daylight hours. £200 represents a lot of spending money for a couple of brekkies and meals/drinks
