How we went about uplating our Rapido A Class (1 Viewer)

Good stuff. You're on the heavy Alko chassis. I wonder what the difference is in the design between mine and yours. Certainly bigger wheels and tyres and perhaps larger rubber torsion bars. Bigger McPherson struts on the front also.
Bigger discs and callipers too. We will be fitting rear air suspension soon... already got the van booked in...

Sorry to hear about the chap that passed away.

I know it;s an old thread but is it as easy today to get uprated as the OP posted his experience 5 years ago?

Must say when i bought our van i want it DOWN graded from 3850 back to 3500, what a PITA. I got my C1 instead, so much easier.
Same procedure, get an engineers report done by the new company (can't remember their name!) or SVTech, submit the info required to DVLA and wait ... hopefully not too long!
