Hi all...... :)

I assume there must be some sort of search site/engine, where one could input your vehicle size and approximate sailing dates/times to find the cheapest deals available? Or if not how do you all go about finding a good deal?

Usually I cant get prices to compare due to size of vehicle, think you will be in the same boat! :frowny:

Thanks @Granjan - I am thinking of getting a van which will take my mobility scooter and having someone drive it down from UK so size issues may not be a problem. Which sites have you tried to compare on. Must admit to finding it v. complicated :(

I have often found the ferry search engines are complicated and inefficient to use. I always end up going straight to the ferry operators web site............ much quicker and more accurate in my experience (y)

I usually just google my start and finish points for the crossing and see who operates there, I think I have looked on aferry amongst others. Good luck with your plans, not an expert sorry. :)

Contacting the ferries direct is the best option. I tried using the aferry site and found when inputting the motorhome length there was only 2 lengths to choose from <7 metres or <10 metres. Our motorhome being 7.12 metres would have put it in the <10 metre class. The actual price difference was about £60 between <7 and <10. The lowest quote was DFDS so I contacted them direct and they agreed to price it in the <7 metre class at £123 return.
