Is there an option to hide other people's signatures? Some of them are huge, bright and animated which I don't want showing whilst I'm at work.

    Thanks,
    M

As a general point it is a serious question which can easily have a high cost if not controlled.

Where I last worked (only employer during the Internet age) we had a very strict policy against personal use of the Internet, with monitoring in place and blocking of web sites identified as popular for such use. Most people accepted the rules and publicity regarding the sanctions on those caught deterred others

while you can hide your own signature in edit profile, you cant hide other posters signatures, or any other part of their posts.

there is no option to do this on the forum.......unless someone knows different

Erm, I did what was advised and no longer see the signature lines.
I still wanted avatars as it helps me quickly identify the usual suspects though :Rofl1:

    That is easily achieved

Go to 'My Profile'. It's near the top of the left hand menu on the front page

    Scroll down to "edit options"

The deselect the Signature View option:thumb:

When I'm abroad on a dongle, turn off sigs and avatars to save bandwidth

Yes, and it worked for me. No more excessively loud signatures. Thank you Mr Hilldweller. :thumb:
