Dear All,

We have a Bessacarr E795 (2004) and I need to change one of the G4 light bulbs, which are encased in a small circular aluminium case, I assume they unscrew, but do not want to force off in case I am wrong. Please advise.

Thanks

Can you post a photo please.

Many fittings have parts which can be levered off by hand or with a small screwdriver or thin blade. Difficult to advise without knowing what fitting it is though as there are so many different ones around.

I don't know your van but there are a couple of common types.

One has a small plastic ring (spring clip) which holds the circle of glass in place. There will be a gap in the plastic ring where you can prise it out, the glass will then just drop out, so take care.

Another type has two spring legs which open out (butterfly style) when the unit is pushed through the hole in the roof, and they hold the unit into the roof, similar to kitchen downlights in the house. You just have to ease the whole unit away from the roof and push in the spring legs till they clear the hole..
