We came down to Spain towing our 7.3m Caravan weighing over 1500kg with our 3500kg panel van conversion average speed 55 / 60 and got over 26mpg. :thumb: Bob.

Try not going as far for a long weekend 450 miles seems a bit excessive, do about 100 each way and it will better than halve the fuel used.

Lateral thinking.

Edit to add that our 5.5tonne does up to 23 on a good day and on a bad day I don't do the calculations. I am happy with this for the vehicle but will say drive steady and keep the top speed down if it bothers you.

`Fuelly` is a nice Android app for keeping tabs on your fill ups, mileage etc. You can keep track of a number of vehicles.

Keeps a total of how much you have spent in total too which can be interesting.
