Reading another thread made me think this. If you are paying by the kilowatt in a Spanish campsite how much do you use a day?
Or is the question like how long is a piece of string?

Weather depending of course, but this year Feb/March we managed to keep it under 4kw/h think it was 5 kW/h was included, did cheat a bit though by running on the inverter in the morning and then plugging back is when we whent out in the afternoon.

On La Manga you get 6kw a day in the rate and over a 5 month period it works out just right, that's with a mixture of gas and electric for both heating and cooking.

At the risk of being called a pedant :) the correct term folk are looking for is kWh, written exactly like that.

A 3 kW heater run for one hour will use 3 kWh of electricity but you can use the same amount of electricity (strictly speaking energy as that is what the kWh is a measure of) by running a 1 kW heater for 3 hours. Just multiply the wattage of the device measured in kW by the hours it is run to get kWh usage, which is what the site measures as does the meter under your stairs at home - unless you have done something naughty to it. :):):)
