Recharge 2x 120 amp leisure batteries?
Went to Lincoln motorhome show last weekend (Damn good by the way, thanks all round)

Arrived with all batteries fully charged, and stayed from Thursday pm until Monday am, with no further charging taking place.

Left Monday morning and visited other local areas engine running for two hours.

Went onto EHU Tuesday evening for 17 hrs.

Left Wednesday morning driving for 3 hours back home.

On departure from Lincoln battery indicator showed 65% remaining capacity

On getting home indicator showing 96%. Fridge was on 12v while moving otherwise gas.

Should I have expected the batteries to have recovered quicker?

Voltage on both veh and leisure showing good (13v on both 18 hrs after switch off).

So, all you experts, have I anything to worry about?

System is seargent 500.

I'm no expert but unless the batteries are straight off the production line (and even then I wouldn't bet on it) I don't think you could get more than 100% in the batteries capability.
96% is probably as good as it gets now and will be less doing the same 'stuff' this time next year.
Batteries do degrade otherwise the one in Henry Fords Model T would be the one it left the factory with.

Having said all that, I could be talking bo**ox!!!

With the vans own charger you'll probably never see 100% - for that you'll need an intelligent charger - there's another thread currently running about them.

What IS important is not to let the batteries get below 50% for any length of time, and keep them topped up (that is, charge not electrolyte). The longer they're at a high charge, the longer they will last.

I picked that up from previous threads. 65% is the lowest they have been.
