How can I disable the feature which sends me an email every time a post appears on a thread I have posted on?

Please help, my phone constantly pinging is driving me crazy!

Have looked through the various options available on Alerts etc. but cannot see how to stop this happening ...

It depends on what your email client shows, mine shows this:

If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you may Broken Link Removed or Broken Link Removed.

before I click the "view this thread" bit.
Alternatively change your phone settings not to alert you when an email arrives.

Or go to the thread itself and at the top of the replies there is a button "Unwatch thread", click it and then click the box to stop watching it.

Go to your profile, click preferences, you then have the option to receive emails or not,

I had the same problem even after unchecking the email notification boxes until some kind person pointed out that you need to select one of the radio buttons for chat at the bottom of the page, if you don't it will not reckonise the change.

I also thought it was still not working as I kept getting the emails, then realised you will sill get emails from threads you replied to before you made the changes, they will gradually die off.
