While surfing through YouTube I came across this video, which shows how a Hymer is out together.

It's a bit salesy but I thought it was interesting. Apologies if it's been posted before, I did a quick search and couldn't see it..

Who knew that it's pronounced " Hoomer"? I didn't, but bet loads of you did :)

For a word with no "e" in it, it is amazing how many the Germans put in when they pronounce Lidl:)

Could someone show it to the muppets at Moto-Trek, they don't know how to do a PDI, and it seems that Just in Time is Too fffffing Late.

In France and Holland it is pronounced "heemer"

In April, with our club, I went on a guided tour of the Rapido factory and saw the construction of their vehicles. The "intégrales" are assembled on one line, the "profilés" on another and the "fourgons" on a third. The assembly on the first two lines consists of fitting bogeys under the front and rear and the bogeys are then moved sideways along tracks with parts being installed at each station. The roof is the final piece of the jigsaw. At each station checks are made of the work of the preceding team and then a final inspection of the completed vehicle is carried out and faults rectified as required.

The PVC installation is carried out by fitting everything to one side of the vehicle at a time.

Having seen how they are assembled, would I buy a new Rapido? If I had the necessary, probably worth considering.

Shame cannot find a hymer with bunks and a decent lounge with swivels seats 644 is full dinette. Might consider 2 fixed singles and a cabin / pull down bed. My 2 teenagers will not share. Cannot blame them tbh
