Is your van above 3.500 in weight,? ok.....so who do use for breakdown cover?
We are up plating ours and RAC (our present cover) only go up to 3500.
I believe nationwide do cover with their flex plus accounts on heavier vans.....looks like a decent deal.
Any thoughts or recommendations please?

We joined LV Brittania rescue as the RAC wouldn't cover us when we changed vans
Luckily never had to use them yet so cant say if good or bad

Nationwide get travel insurance too.
Get someone who you know has a Nationwide account to nominate you. When you open the account, you both get £100.
There is a savings account, if you put up to 500 a month in pays 5 per cent for 1st year.

We have the Nationwide Flex Plus account if you look through there details the breakdown cover is for up to two vehicles and also includes European travel.

Just renewed our Mayday (Green Flag through C&MC) at £131.50 for fullest cover............and that covers two cars and our MH. Looked at RAC Arrival before renewing, because it looked so similar but, by the time I had matched the RAC cover to Green Flag, it was costing £300. RAC entice you in by including C&CC membership for the first year. Our van is 3,500kgs but Green Flag used to cover our 3,850 Cheyenne because they have no limit on weight.

Sue are you sure you have quoted the correct weights as some people get in a muddle about gross weights and axle weights. Just asking.

ADAC for us.. For the level of cover you get I have found nowt to bet it.. You are even covered if you are in a hire car..

ADAC covers YOU (and your spouse if needed ) rather than a specific vehicle

Have just checked on the CC&C website......

" covers your motorhome even if over 5.5m in length, 2.3m in width, or 3.5tonnes"

It seems to me that over 3.5tonnes is covered. My policy document also uses similar wording.

I had a stand up row with an AA bloke when I called them out for a blowout we had on the motorway.

" We don't cover over 3500 kg " he bleated.

I told him the van was 3500 unladen, it was unladen and was not therefore over 3500 kg.

He fell for it ( or me)
