Hi
We've been here a few times but not recently.
Huge site which was the Forestry Commission but they were taken over by the camping and caravanning club.
There are no marked pitches, just hook up bollards dotted about. This is one of the more open sites as it's based on a WWII airfield, the runways are still there and form the site internal roads.
Can't remember showers but there were toilet blocks. Old but clean.

Not sure what sort of site you want, next door is the cc Centenary Site which is open to non members, not our cup of tea, we haven't stayed on that one.

We found it a bit remote to get to places but I think we cycled to Bransgore.

We like the Roundhill site which is between Brockenhurst and Beaulieu, no hook ups but does have showers/toilets and, I think, a dogwash. This is also an old airfield but you can get to Brockenhurst easily by bike and we have walked through the forest which was ok but not a straightforward waymarked path. There's a railway station in the village, pubs and shops.

Hope this helps.
