Not really Motorhome related but I know a few on here may have pick up truck or trailers so thought I would share this.
Had a problem with trasporting 4 x mountain bikes on the pick up without the bikes getting damaged. Found a few bike racks designed for pick ups but at £600 I thought I would build one myself out of plumbing waste pipeLink Removed
The bike rack can be used anywhere including in our 6' x 4' plastic shed or just placed outside and is extremely light and strong.
Total cost including the cement glue was £40 but that was from Wickes and I'm sure going to a plumbing supplier would work out cheaper still. I saved on joints for the middle section by cutting pipe, shaping the ends and glueing into place and then duck taping for added strength.
Placing the bikes alternatively front/ back allows for 4 x adult bikes to be stored in a relatively small spaceLink Removed
