Hi All
Looking to do our first extended trip on the continent starting in early April and going on until say end of June. We will be booking a one way ticket from Harwich to Holland but have not got any further at present, we are looking for advice from you funsters before drawing up a plan. The plan will likely change once we get there but I feel we need a base to start from. Any help you can give would be most welcome. Many thanks in advance.

Great time to do Holland, no doubt why you are doing it then, the bulb fields are amazing, something everybody should see once in their lives, we went last April

this was our trip, a lot of drivel to get through but some of it might be useful, we didn't get to the south of France, but Dunes du Pyla south of Bordeaux are another must see at some time (y)

Have a look in the Resources Section for Toll and Non toll Routes in France (and Spain) about France .com. It's a big document and will assist you enormously in planning your routes south.
Safe Travels.

Hello, we went from Hook of Holland and spent three months travelling from there through Germany and down to South of France (eventually heading over the Pyrennes) the most useful book we had was Camperstop Europe. The only stop we made not via this reference was cos we met up with friends at the Biesbosch (just outside Dordrecht), stayed at a campsite there. Otherwise we were never disappointed with the directions/locations/descriptions of the stops. It's our bible now (y)
