weve never used a cl we were members of ccc for a couple of years, are they only for the use of members of the big 2 clubs or can anyone use them we couldnt work out how you booked them
could some one explain the whole system /concept

The concept is due to an exception in the planning laws that allow you to have a 5 unit campsite without permission, provided it is part of a club arrangement.

They differ greatly in terms of facilities and communications. The the cheaper end, which I prefer, if you get through to anyone at all, they'll just say no problem if you ask if there is room. These ones you can normally just turn up to and pitch if there is no-one about. They'll come along in the evening/morning to collect the cash.

Just went to one in Rutland like that. The owner might have well have been speaking Swedish for all we could tell, but we only paid £5 per night.

Others have more facilities, such as showers, hard standings and electricity and are often pickier about need to take reservations.
